Well a friend of mine had a guy at work taht asked if i would practice painting flames on his hoood of his tractor. Lol so here it is , let me know what you all think, good or bad.... but he selected the colors lol actually he wanted orange and yellow but i added some white.

very nice, better than anything i could do....

just one suggestion (more of a personal preference)...

mebbe make it so they dont just go right to being thin flames...go from the fat at the bottom, and slowly work towards thin...

of course it still looks great either way, just a suggestion ;)

heheh , people want all kinds of things painted jon, hehe i started off putting flames on my school folder when in highschool lol,,

ya scott, that the things with flames every one has a style and a prefrence. so thats sorta the sucky thing possibly when dealing with the person who wants the flames. If tehy dont have a prefrence its great :D
cuase some people like the extreme change to skinny and others dont..... :/ but oh well :D

Thats kool Ben i have a co-worker who does the same thing cept' with Lightning its pretty kool too.

A question how long does it usually take you to do all that?

I saw this awesome picture of something called "ghost flames" on this guys truck. Do you know what they are. I think they are friggin awesome, I think I am going to have that done to my truck. However, Ben looks like you are going to have an awesome and fun hobby!

depends how good of a job that needs to be done and how many times i mess up lol, i did a mazda hood in about 4 hours. depends on what paint i use tooo.


ya i have done one of my motorcyles. and mazda hood, and a few helmets, oh ya and serveral school folders lol

and not sure that i have seem the ghost flames,, i have seem smoked ones, they are faint i have dont one like that....... i have messed
with cameleon paints so they change colors,,,,, and if you can get the color scheme right you could actually have a flame that moves.....

Very nice.. I'm partial to blue flames at times.. but these are nice.. far better than I can ever do.. at least off the computer. Hmm.. seeing how I will have about [in 2 weeks] 3 weeks to do nothing [one handed].. I think I will crack open some 3DModeling/Animation.

haha xero, its funny sometimes you can actually put thos in the paintjob, not that big lol but i have seen it done a few times... and yes para i like blue flames. I have done some test blue flames on the car i had

Flames that move. I can see it already. Rob driving down the street and all of a sudden a a firetruck come flying towards him and hoses down car. Fireman "Sorry kid thought your car was on fire, the flames they were moving"
